At nearly 100 years old, The Ritz Theatre in Corpus Christi is ready to reclaim her place in the spotlight. Shuttered in 1989, the jaw-dropping atmospheric theatre once introduced movies (and air conditioning) to South Texas. It hosted music acts ranging from Waylon Jennings to The Pointer Sisters and Metallica to Willie Nelson.
